(Note: these options will be in place as of February 2022)
You can set a few different requirements when creating a New Delivery for proof of delivery, alcoholic products, perishable items, and items that can't be left unattended. This helps us send the right driver for the job.
Please note that in order for us to enforce these important requirements, we require you to enter the recipient's phone and email when creating your deliveries. If those fields are somehow left blank, the system may default to your contact details on file. This means you'll receive important communications meant for the recipient that are needed for successful delivery.
Photo (proof of delivery)
Check this box for packages that can be left at the door. The driver will take a photo as proof of delivery, which you can see in your route details in the merchant portal.
Delivery PIN Verification (proof of delivery)
Checking this box means the package must be accepted by a person at the drop-off location and CANNOT be left at the door. Trexity will send a PIN to the contact info noted in the delivery details under Recipient Phone and Email. Whoever is receiving the package must give the driver this PIN in order to complete delivery.
Otherwise, the packages will be returned to the pickup location. Return fees apply.
You're required to check this box for any delivery that contains alcoholic products. This means:
- Driver must be of legal age to transport alcohol.
- They’re also required to check the ID of the recipient to make sure they’re of legal age.
- In order to complete the delivery, someone must be at the drop-off location and give the driver the PIN that Trexity sends the recipient. The receiver must also be of legal age. Otherwise, the packages will be returned to the pickup location. Return fees apply.
Can Deliver Alcohol
Check this box if your delivery contains any amount of alcohol at all, even if products contain only trace amounts like kombucha or non-alcoholic beverages. We'll make sure to send drivers who are able to accept and deliver products containing alcohol.
Can Deliver Perishables
Checking this box lets us know that there are perishable items being transported.
